National Overall Winner of Drugs.ie Media Awards 2015

A video made with Blaze Youth Club, Caltragh, Sligo and features Mabel Chah, Tafadzwa Moswa and Sligo Rovers. This project was part of a 3 month video project on drugs awareness, facilitated by Sinead Dolan. The Youth Club entered the music video into the Let’s Talk About Drugs.ie National Youth Media Awards, age 12-14 category, film/animation. Not only did they win the category, but they won the overall National Award. Well done to all involved and big thanks to all the volunteers who contributed to the project and to the video – Ace Adeola and Liam Gilmartin for production and composing the music, The Model for letting us record the song, Mike Guckian for helping with filming, Owen Heary and all at Sligo Rovers for the research interviews, for inviting us into the club, and for starring (and dancing) in the video, Lorraine Harte for hair and make-up, Mabel, Tafadzwa and all members of Blaze Youth Club for performing in the video and for all their work behind the scenes. And big congratulations to the Blaze Youth Club Leaders and thanks to all individuals and organisations in Sligo who said yes and got involved whenever we asked for their help. We truly have a great community!
